Mid-week Walk - Traverse of Dead Pike from Armboth to Grasmere

Half term and a poor weather forecast seemed to have put many members off this walk, so only 5 people alighted from the 555 bus at Armboth Road end. Mick's walk was to ascend Dead Pike and descend to Grasmere. Most people will know Dead Pike as Steel Fell: is Dead Pike the name of the summit of Steel Fell? Answers on a post card please.
The weather was drizzly as the steep (very steep) ascent was made up the north ridge to the summit, where snow underfoot and a strong wind made for a winterey feeling (which we've been lacking this winter). The descent to Grasmere was made without incident, and a wet walk into Grasmere was made to the waiting 559 and cars.
