Mid-week Walk and Christmas Lunch

A good turn out, but a poor day. After meeting in Wilfs for coffee, and remembering to obtain a Frog parking card for those parked in the yard, the assembled throng set off by crossing the river Kent. Heading up Hall Lane in the damp but dry conditions, most then branched off over the stile to cross the field and join the others on the lane to Brunt Knott farm. Keeping on the lane, the way went past Craggy Woods where the rain started, and all ended up back at the cars rather damp.
The lunch was taken in the Eagle and Child pub, where the group were joined by past President John Peat and his wife Anne, Dorothy Haygarth, and Graham Ramsbottom who was suffering from a bad cold. Thanks to Irene and Graham for organising the walk and meal.

Some snow fell in the middle of the month, but most had melted by Christmas Day. Rose and Paul managed to find a patch however on Harrison Stickle
