Super Moon Evening Walk - Scout Scar Mick & Clare, Kevin & Tina, Graham & Irene, Val & Colin, David, Frank, Roger, Josh, Jenny, Hugh (with Sally) Fourteen members enjoyed a lovely walk along Scout Scar lit by a lovely bright full moon. Known as a 'Super Moon', the phenomenon occurs when the moon is at its closest point to the earth on its elliptical orbit and is also a full moon. It appears about 7% larger and 15% brighter than normal. The evening was rounded off with a drinks in the Rifleman's that including mulled wine. The photo below was taken by Kevin and shows the group at the 'Mushroom'. |

The walk proved to be wet and windy. Here is one "Fellfarer enjoying a day at the seaside". |

Lunch was taken in the upstairs room at the Wheatsheaf at Beetham, with a variable quality and quantity in the food, with one member having as many as seven chips. John Peat joined the group at the pub, making it two ex-Presidents (John and Gordon) and one current President (Roger). |

All Terrain Toboggan Race The annual All Terrain Toboggan Race took place this year after a bit of a lapse, perhaps giving the competitors time to work on new toboggan designs. Celebrations were held in the Scafell bar after the event. Thanks to Joan for the great photos. |

The winners were Mark and Jess. |
