July 7 - Sat Rods Coach trip to Moffat. Coach trip and a choice of walks near Moffat followed by a meal in The Buccleuch Arms, Moffat. Depart from Kendal 08.30 am and return by 10.00 pm. The cost of the coach will be funded by Rod Muncey’s gift to the club. THIS HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2019 Clare Fox

July 13 - 16 High House reserved for Fellfarers - Quiet weekend  
July 25 - Wed Mid-week walk - Wetherlam and down Black Sails ridge. Meet at 10.00am at GR 300 975 (Coppermines Road) for a 9 km walk with 2250 ft of ascent. David Birkett 01539 738280

w/c Aug 6 Water Meet. No plan for camping this year, but like minded folk are going to the hut w/c 6 August.  Boats and canoes can be hired from Platypus on Derwentwater.  All welcome

Aug 15 - Wed The 100th KFF Midweek Walk - Duddon valley - Meet at 10.30 at Birks Carpark (GR: SD 235 995). The walk will go via Wallabarrow to the Newfield Inn. Lunch there or sandwiches nearby. Then go up to Seathwaite Tarn and return to Birks past the waterfall on Tarn Beck. Distance approx. 7 miles. Ascent 320 metres. Mostly easy walking. Norman Bell 01539 444939

Sept 14 - 17 High House reserved for Fellfarers - Working weekend  
Sept 26 - Wed Midweek Walk - Helm Crag summit. Helm Crag - have you actually stood on the summit? (see Wainwright’s Helm Crag, page 5) - and Far Easedale. Distance 8.5 miles with 2,000 feet of ascent.
Meet at 10.45 am for coffee, or at 11.15 am for the walk, outside the Heaton Cooper Gallery, Grasmere (GR NY 337 076) (the 555 bus leaves Kendal bus station at 9.40 am)
Helm Crag to Calf Crag and ‘the stile with no fence’ on Brownrigg Moss. Return via Far Easedale. Easier option, if required: walk up Far Easedale to meet the descending party for lunch together. Bad weather option available.

Sept 29 - Sat Rod Munceys Legacy Walk at Ullswater. Rods last Wainwright was The Nab above Martindale, see here, so this walk in Rods memory is based on that area. Thirty return tickets have been booked for the club on the Ullswater steamer from Glenridding to Howtown. The boat will depart from Glendridding at 11.05 and will return from Howtown at 5.05. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a variety of walks around Howtown.

Glencoe meet in the Clachaig chalets. A joint meet with Bassetlaw Hill and Mountain Club.
Three chalets have been booked -
Rowan chalet is booked for Fellfarers and has 5 beds - cost £260.
Birch chalet has been booked for Fellfarers and has 4 beds - cost £250.
Beech chalet has been booked for Bassetlaw and has 4 beds - cost £250.
If we can fill all 13 places, the cost per person for the two nights will be £59. A deposit of £19 is required to secure a place

Mar 24 - 29 Scottish hotel meet in Killin. After so much positive feedback from this year's hotel trip to Killin it was agreed to re-book the Killin Hotel. Prices are -
- £41 per person per night, dinner bed and breakfast for couples sharing twin or double rooms
- £56 per person per night dinner bed and breakfast for single rooms 
Prices are increased by £1 per person per night from last year.
